In 2003.2, two more kids joined the group, to take the place of the ones that for whatever reason had to leave.

The project has continued in the same format, well, almost the same!!! As well as the English and computer classes, some special classes were realized, given by ABA teachers and friends of the project.
And the text, WHAT THE PROJECT IS, also changed in a few aspects:
The project corresponds to a three semester program realized at ABA which includes English and computer classes for adolescents (ages 15 to 18) recommended by 5 NGOs from the city of Recife as well as the promotion of volunteerism with the students from the Teacher Education Program (TEP) and the teachers at ABA.

The project grew in number of students, from 16 to 32 and in NGO participants:
5. Auçuba entered to complete the Global Citizenship Awareness team.

• 2002.2 - The Start of it All
In the beginning, a challenge:
Bring students and kids from the communities of Recife to study here at ABA. The question: How to do this? What do they need? How to find out?
Experimenting! That was the answer. And so the Global Citizenship Awareness Program - the Pilot Project- was born.
WHAT THE PROJECT IS
The project corresponds to a proposal which includes English and computer
classes for kids (ages 14-18) recommended by 5 NGOs from the city of Recife
and as well as the promotion of volunteerism within the students from the
Teacher Education Program (TEP).
Depending on the results, the Pilot Project would grow or end.
